Debug Adaptors
Microcontrollers need to be programmed with application software and a Boot Loader. The Software is developed using an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) tool. The Debug Adaptor contains the hardware and protocols to connect the IDE to the Microcontroller normally on it’s Target Board. Debug Adaptors enable a number of functions; Programming, Software development by providing Hardware and Software Break Points and Device Emulation. Debug Adaptors support On-Chip Debugging System (OCDS) and In Circuit Programming (ICP). Development Boards can be powered by both external power supply or via USB to the Development PC.
