Starter Kits

In order to help promote their Microcontrollers and enable developers to quickly evaluate a Microcontroller, Holtek provide a low-cost development board called a Starter Kit. Starter Kits typically have a lite-Debug Adaptor integrated to provide easy connection to Development PC.

The Starter Kit typically includes LEDs so that simple “Hello World” programs can be used to verify set-up and may have a few other hardware devices in addition. The Starter Kit will include I/O expanders so that every pin of the Microcontroller can be accessed and connected to external devices as required. The I/O expanders also enable full development of the Microcontroller application.

Starter Kits Typically connect by USB to the Development PC which also provides power although some kits can support external power. Holtek normally supply a range of example software application code that can be run on the kit.
